The Role: Birchland Park is seeking a long-term special education substitute teacher to cover a maternity leave that will go from the end of September till January. The teacher will be working with students in our Autism and Life Skills program and should be able to effectively modify and adapt for various levels of learning, while practicing an inclusive model. We are seeking a candidate that can read and follow an IEP and is familiar with writing progress reports, communication logs and has some experience with MCAS Alts. Our ideal candidate is a positive team player that can manage support staff and student behaviors, is comfortable with providing sensory supports and is flexible.
