Overview
With general supervision from the Learning Zone Director, plan, prepare, and conduct all educational and recreational activities for the class assigned on a daily basis.
PM Shift: 12PM - 6PM
Responsibilities
Assist the Lead Teacher of the class including implementing the education and recreational programs of the class.
Under direction and guidance from the head teacher, work with individual students or small groups.
Aid other teachers and staff in group activities of early morning or late afternoon hours.
Attend to the physical needs of the children, being alert to any symptoms of illness, as well as careful prevention of accident-causing situations.
Immediately report any accident involving either a child or a staff member. The report is to be in writing as required by The Salvation Army and The State of Ohio.
Attend all Learning Zone staff meetings.
Any and all other duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Learning Zone Director or Area Coordinator.
Upholds and represents The Salvation Army in the highest esteem possible.
Qualifications
MINIMUM EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE .
High School graduation or equivalent.
Must be pursuing a degree in ECE, ECD, or other related field of study.
A strong Salvation Army background is preferred but not required.
SPECIAL SKILLS, CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONS.
As deemed necessary by the ODJFS for state licensing purposes.
