Special Education Teacher, Learning Behavior Specialist 4th5th Grade (Self-Contained)

Location: McHenry, IL

Learning Behavior Specialist Job Qualifications:

• Bachelors or Masters degree in Special Education
• Active or pending Illinois LBS1 teaching license
• Experience in a school or pediatric setting preferred
• Must be authorized to work in the U.S.
• New graduates with LBS1 licensure are welcome to apply

Learning Behavior Specialist Job Schedule & Setting:

• Full-time, MondayFriday
• Onsite position within a public school
• Caseload: 4th5th grade self-contained classroom with support in the room

Learning Behavior Specialist Job Responsibilities:

• Deliver individualized instruction aligned with IEP goals
• Modify curriculum and instruction based on student needs
• Implement positive behavior strategies and classroom management techniques
• Collaborate with general education teachers, related service providers, and families
• Participate in IEP meetings and student progress reviews
• Maintain accurate IEP documentation and compliance with IDEA and state education requirements
