Lead Young Toddler Teacher (12–15 Months) The Goddard School – Alpharetta, GA 30022

The Goddard School® located in Alpharetta, GA 30022 is seeking a passionate and experienced Lead Young Toddler Teacher to join our caring and dedicated team. This position focuses on children aged 12 to 15 months , a vibrant and exploratory stage where curiosity blossoms and first steps lead to new discoveries.

Key Responsibilities:
Curriculum and Instruction Lead engaging, age-appropriate lessons and activities using our proprietary Wonder of Learning® curriculum to support cognitive, physical, and social-emotional growth.
Classroom Management Create and maintain a warm, structured, and developmentally supportive classroom environment tailored to the needs of early walkers and emerging communicators.
Family Communication Build strong, trusting relationships with families by providing regular updates on routines, milestones, and learning progress.
Health and Safety Ensure a safe and healthy environment by following all licensing regulations, supervising both indoor and outdoor activities, and managing daily care routines such as meals and naps.
Assessment and Documentation Observe and document each child’s development to support individualized learning and share insights with families.
Professional Development Participate in training opportunities to grow professionally and stay up to date with early childhood best practices.
Team Collaboration Partner with Assistant and Resource Teachers to create a consistent and collaborative teaching environment.
Behavior Guidance Use gentle, age-appropriate strategies to support toddlers as they learn to communicate, share, and navigate their emotions.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or GED required
Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or related field preferred
Child Development Associate (CDA) credential preferred
1–2 years of experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare or preschool setting preferred
Completion of state-required pre-service training
Strong communication and relationship-building skills
Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. in connection with child care tasks
