Job Description

Guide Little Hands Toward Big Independence – Join Guidepost Montessori at Wilton!

Do you believe toddlers are capable of amazing things?

At Guidepost Montessori at Downtown Boston, our Toddler program is designed to honor each child's natural curiosity while helping them build the confidence and skills to thrive. We're searching for a passionate Lead Toddler Guide (Teacher) to join our warm, collaborative community.

Why This Role Matters

Toddlers are explorers, problem-solvers, and creators at heart. As a Lead Toddler Guide, you will:

  • Prepare a safe, beautiful, and engaging space for children to move, explore, and learn.

  • Foster independence in everyday skills—from dressing themselves to caring for their environment.

  • Build deep, trusting relationships with children and families.

  • Provide lessons that spark joy, curiosity, and confidence.

Your Role

As our Lead Toddler Guide, you will:

  • Observe each child to understand their needs and guide their development.

  • Prepare an environment that invites exploration, discovery, and independence.

  • Encourage practical life skills, language growth, and social-emotional development.

  • Partner with parents to support their child's journey at school and home.

Inside a Guidepost Toddler Classroom

Our toddler environments are designed with beauty, order, and purpose:

  • Open floor space for movement and exploration.

  • Child-sized furniture and materials to promote self-sufficiency.

  • Natural materials—wood, glass, and metal—over plastic, fostering care and respect.

  • Cozy rugs, plants, and natural light to create a warm, welcoming atmosphere.

  • Montessori materials to develop fine and gross motor skills.

What We're Looking For
  • Montessori diploma for ages 0–3 (or willingness to train with our sponsorship).

  • Experience with toddlers in a group setting (preschool, daycare, nursery).

  • A deep respect for the abilities of young children.

  • Familiarity with Montessori or other child-led approaches (or openness to learn).

  • ECE/Child Development credits and/or a bachelor's degree preferred.

Why You'll Love Working Here
  • Fully sponsored Montessori training through the Prepared Montessorian Institute.

  • 75% tuition discount for up to two children (ages 3 months–Elementary).

  • Competitive salary, benefits, PTO, and paid holidays.

  • A supportive network of peers and mentors across 100+ schools.

  • Career growth opportunities within our expanding global network.
