What You'll Do

Deliver high-quality care and early education aligned with the YMCA's values: honesty, respect, responsibility and caring
Plan and lead fun, age-appropriate activities-arts & crafts, music, storytelling, outdoor play, and more
Support positive behavior and foster social-emotional growth
Supervise daily routines like meals, free play, and playground time
Build strong, positive relationships with families and conduct regular parent-teacher conferences
Maintain accurate classroom and program records
Participate in staff meetings, training, and family engagement events

What You'll Need

Be at least 18 years old
High school diploma or equivalent required
CDA credential or a related college degree
Completion of DCF Introductory Child Care Training (Parts 1 & 2)
6 months to 1 year of preschool teaching experience
Able to lift up to 40 lbs and actively engage with children both indoors and outdoors

Hourly Rate: $16-$21, based on experience

Other Requirements
