Job Title: Lead Toddler Room Teacher
Location: Early Start Childcare
Pay Range: $14 - $20 per hour
Position Type: Full-time
Hours: 7:30 AM - 4:30 PM

The Toddler Classroom Lead Teacher is responsible for creating and maintaining a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment tailored to the developmental needs of toddlers, typically ages two to three. This role involves planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that fosters the cognitive, emotional, physical, and social growth of each child.
Responsibilities:
Key responsibilities include:
1. Curriculum and Instruction: Design and execute engaging, age-appropriate activities and lessons that encourage exploration and learning through play. Adapt teaching methods to meet the diverse needs of each child.
2. Child Supervision and Safety: Ensure a secure environment by maintaining constant supervision and implementing safety protocols. Respond promptly to any accidents or emergencies to provide appropriate care.
3. Developmental Support: Observe and document each child's progress, noting milestones and any areas of concern. Provide individualized support to promote optimal development.
4. Communication and Collaboration: Foster open and effective communication with parents, providing regular updates on their child's progress and experiences. Work collaboratively with teaching assistants and other staff members to ensure a cohesive approach to early childhood education.
5. Classroom Management: Establish and maintain a positive and organized classroom atmosphere. Implement routines and expectations that promote independence and positive behavior among toddlers.
6. Professional Development: Stay informed about current trends and best practices in early childhood education. Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to enhance teaching skills.
7. Health and Hygiene: Ensure proper hygiene practices, such as regular handwashing, are followed. Manage routine care tasks, such as diaper changing and assisting with meals, adhering to health and safety standards.
Requirements:
High School Diploma or equivalent
Infant and Toddler CDA (Child Development Associate) certification or willingness to obtain.
Previous experience at least 2 years working with toddlers.
Strong communication skills and a love for working with young children.
Ability to maintain a patient, caring, and nurturing attitude.
Knowledge of child development and age-appropriate activities for toddlers.
Ability to work collaboratively with other team members.
