Salary Range: $45,760.00 - $51,687.44 annually

We are seeking caring and compassionate individuals that want to make a difference in a child's life. A Classroom Teacher at Watch Me Shine specializes and has experience in education/early intervention. The Classroom Teacher will oversee and ensure student progress, student programming, and ensure high quality service delivery. The Classroom Teacher will provide training, support, and ongoing guidance and supervision to paraprofessionals in their classrooms. Classroom Teachers are expected to learn a variety of early intervention theories and methods, demonstrate mastery level skills working with children with special needs, and be highly motivated and passionate about making a difference in a child’s life. A Classroom Teacher at Watch Me Shine will never define a child by their diagnosis; rather see a future of great opportunities of friendships, joy and possibilities. The Classroom Teacher needs to believe whole-heartedly that every child can reach their full developmental potential.
Classroom Teachers are responsible for their staff, students, classroom, lesson planning and coordination with other school personnel and team members. Classroom Teachers will be active in overseeing the student’s progress, programing, assessments, supervision of staff, and other administrative duties. This will include tasks such as perpetration, coordination and publishing of lesson plans, data collection and analysis, record keeping and report writing. Classroom Teachers are responsible for making sure all required reports and administrative paperwork is completed on time and in a thorough manner.
Essential Functions of the Role:
Planning and implementing activities to meet the physical, emotional, intellectual, and social needs of the children in the program
Providing various experiences and activities for children including songs, games, and story telling
Establishing routines and provide positive guidance
Ensuring equipment and the facility are clean, well maintained, and safe always
Providing weekly and monthly schedules of activities
Ensure children are always supervised
Providing a safe and secure environment for children to feel comfortable
Tracking student progress
Integrating special needs children in a positive and respectful manner
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in related field
Experience is preferred but Watch Me Shine is willing to train the right applicant.
Candidates must pass an extensive criminal background check.
