This position requires availability Monday through Friday and could be full time with hours 6:15-8:15 am and 2:00-6:00 pm. Flexible planning time is also available in this position.

Job Responsibilities: A Lead Teacher will be the onsite leader of the program supervising teachers, aides, and volunteers. Responsibilities include maintaining a safe and developmentally appropriate classroom environment, implementing a fun and engaging curriculum, and fostering positive relationships with children, parents, and the school community. Work is primarily performed at YMCA Before and After School programs in West Linn. At times, staff may be asked to travel outside of West Linn to fill in at other childcare sites within the YMCA of Columbia-Willamette Association. There may be times when staff are asked to attend company events outside of their regular schedule. Staff will be notified ahead of time if and when this happens. Requirements: Required Qualifications: Pass a YMCA Background Check At least 240 hours of qualifying experience working with school age children in the past five years, an Associates or higher degree in a related field, or a Step 6 on the Oregon Registry. Meet all Program Leader standards as dictated by the state Child Care Division. Current enrollment in the Oregon State Childcare Registry or ability to enroll prior to employment. Current CPR and First Aid certification or ability to obtain within 30 days. Current Food Handlers certification or ability to obtain within 30 days. At least 18 years of age
