Summary
Clayton Early Childhood Center is seeking a reliable, dedicated, and passionate Lead Teacher, Infant/Toddler, to join our extraordinary team of educators.
Lead Teachers collaborate with Teacher Assistants to implement developmentally appropriate activities based on children’s interests and needs. Planning, documenting, and ensuring that children are safe and receiving high-quality early childhood services.
Duties
·Engage in active supervision to ensure the safety of all children
·Care for each child’s needs
·Implementation of the Creative Curriculum through developmentally appropriate activities by engaging children in learning
·Change diapers, encourage self-help, and model appropriate behaviors
·Maintaining room cleanliness and organization
·Able to support all age groups as needed
Requirements
·Works well with others, good communication, both oral and written
·Basic computer/technology skills
·Ability to lift up to 40 lbs, use stairs, and get up and down from the floor frequently
·Must pass background check, fingerprinting, child abuse and neglect registry, and drug screening
·Obtain physical and TB test
Nice To Haves
·Knowledge and experience working with young children in a childcare setting
·Certification in Infant/Child CPR and First Aid
CDA in Infant, Toddler or Preschool, Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field
