Lead Preschool Teacher

We are seeking a highly qualified Lead Preschool Teacher to join our Ridge Rd team. As the Lead Preschool Teacher, you will be responsible for creating and implementing a developmentally appropriate curriculum that promotes the social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development of young children. You will also be responsible for maintaining a safe and nurturing learning environment that fosters positive relationships with children, families, and staff.
Minimum Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent and 1+ years experience working with toddlers in a licensed childcare center or comparable setting
- CPL III or Child Development Associate Certificate upon hire
- Ability to pass BCI/FBI and ODJFS Background Check
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work collaboratively with other staff members and parents
Preferred Qualifications:
- Associate's degree or higher in Early Childhood Education or related field with 1+ years experience
- Current CPR and First Aid certification
- Bilingual in English and Spanish
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum that meets the needs of all children in the classroom
- Create and maintain a safe and nurturing learning environment that promotes positive relationships with children, families, and staff
- Observe and assess children's development and progress, and communicate this information to families and staff
- Collaborate with other teachers and staff to plan and implement school-wide events and activities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of children's progress and development
Skills:
As the Lead Preschool Teacher, you will need to have excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively communicate with children, families, and staff. You will also need to have strong organizational and time-management skills to effectively plan and implement a developmentally appropriate curriculum. In addition, you will need to have a deep understanding of child development and be able to create a learning environment that promotes positive social, emotional, physical, and cognitive development. Finally, you will need to be able to work collaboratively with other teachers and staff to plan and implement school-wide events and activities.
