*Essential Functions:*
* Manage the classroom to ensure compliance with all PA State regulations, Celebree School standards, policies and procedures. * Plan and implement developmentally, age-appropriate lesson plans in a safe, nurturing learning environment in accordance with the Celebree School curriculum; ensure that the activities of lesson plans are clearly delegated and communicated to all staff involved; maintain open and effective communication with teaching team members * Provide a welcoming and friendly classroom environment for all children, families and visitors; maintain attractive classroom/hallway displays and an educational and informative Parent Board that is updated regularly. * Communicates effectively with caregivers, e.g., greeting by name, addressing concerns in a timely manner, giving positive feedback and providing regular updates on their child’s development and classroom happenings; create a Daily Report for children that provides caregivers with information about their child’s day; engage in open communication with caregivers to promote happy transitions. * Counsels children as needed using Conscious Discipline and appropriate behavior management techniques.
*Education & Experience*
* Have a Bachelor's Degree in Early Childhood Education or related field, meet PA State requirements to be a Lead Teacher * Be engaging, dynamic and passionate about early learning & child development * Have comprehensive knowledge and understanding of behavioral and developmental stages of children to successfully manage a classroom * Possess strong organizational, communication (verbal and written) and problem-solving skills * Have a proven ability for taking initiative; display patience and flexibility; find excitement in everyday challenges and be solution driven * Value an environment of authenticity, accountability and integrity * Work well as a member of a collaborative team focused on positive outcomes and easily build a professional relationship with parents and teammates * Be driven to give his or her best each day while working to protect, educate and nurture children
