Summary

Chroma Early Learning Academy is seeking a passionate, dedicated, and experienced Lead Teacher to join our team. The ideal candidate will create a nurturing and engaging environment for children, implement educational programs, and work closely with families and colleagues to ensure the best outcomes for our students. This position offers the opportunity to make a positive impact in the lives of young children while working in a supportive and collaborative environment.

Duties

  • Responsible for the overall supervision and daily class functions of a group of children
  • Observes all rules and regulations at Chroma Early Learning Academy and the local, state or national regulatory agencies pertaining to the health, safety and care of children
  • Implements the approved lesson plans and daily classroom schedule in accordance with the Chroma Early Learning Academy curriculum and programming
  • Maintains an attractive, well-kept classroom that encourages children to create, explore and make decisions with confidence
  • Provides verbal recognition and acceptance to children while providing clear and consistent expectations for the children's behavior
  • Accepts responsibility for maintenance and necessary housekeeping duties of the classroom, common use areas and playgrounds
  • Attends all required staff meetings, workshops and/or school functions
  • Maintains overall professional personal appearance adhering to the guidelines offered in the Chroma Early Learning Academy Employee Handbook
  • Assists in other capacities as necessary
  • Knowledge of the social, emotional and creative needs of young children
  • Must be able to lift up to 35 lbs. in connection with the handling of children for the facilitation of programs, child safety, and potential emergency situations.


Requirements

  • Strong knowledge of child development and early learning principles.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to work well independently and as part of a team.
  • Passionate about working with children and helping them succeed.
  • Highschool Diploma or Equivalent
  • Ability To Pass a National Criminal Background Check
  • Reliable Transportation
  • Must be at least 18 years of age
