Description

Founded in 1909 by Milton and Catherine Hershey, Milton Hershey School (MHS) is a tuition-free private home and school for 2,200 pre-K through 12th grade students from disadvantaged backgrounds. Since its' founding, the lives of almost 12,000 children have had lives transformed through high-quality career-focused education and a positive, nurturing home life. And the school is growing to serve more students.

MHS provides every student with an exceptional career focused education. At the high school level, all students select one of ten different career areas in which they attain relevant certifications and real-world work experience in their chosen field of study.

MHS is seeking a dynamic and dedicated Law, Public Safety & Security (LPSS) Teacher to join our High School Career and Technical Education (CTE) team. The LPSS teacher will deliver a comprehensive, career-focused curriculum designed to prepare high school students for postsecondary education, training, and careers in the law, public safety, and security sectors. Serving over 900 students in grades 9 - 12, MHS provides a supportive and enriching environment for lower-income students to thrive academically and personally. With small class sizes (average 1:15-18), instructors can make a meaningful impact every day.

The LPSS Instructor will lead the development and delivery of a comprehensive LPSS curriculum that prepares students for industry certifications, post-secondary education, and career readiness. The program includes access to state-of-the-art resources, including a mock courtroom, and encourages collaboration with local professionals to provide real-world learning experiences.
