This opening will be for a Kindergarten or Grade 1 Teacher due to restructuring. Qualifications: Degree in Elementary or Early Childhood Education, Masters preferred. Tuition Reimbursement available. Fluency in spoken and written Spanish preferred MUST HAVE License in Early Childhood or Elementary Education Expectations and Responsibilities: •Develop, align and implement grade curriculum •Provide differentiated classroom instruction including accommodations and curricular modifications per individualized education plans and 504 plans. •Plan lessons and provide high quality instruction in all curricular areas, consistent with all district curriculum initiatives. •Actively participate in all grade level, school, and district collaborations, teams, and professional development. •Administer, score, and analyze grade level, school, and district assessments as the basis for informed instructional decisions. •Provide ongoing communication with parents regarding student progress and program information through avenues such as but not limited to regular and as needed conferences, email, parent orientation programs and classroom newsletters. Be available for consultations with families on an as needed basis. •Provide information, resources, and guidance to families on the understanding of curriculum and ways to support their children. •Maintain all student and school documentation in an accurate and timely manner. •Actively participate in the school community. •Complete all other responsibilities, duties, and tasks assigned by the principal. Required Skills/Abilities: •Thorough understanding of pedagogy and the best practices of education. •Desire to teach children and ability to adapt to their developmental status. •Ability to design lessons that teach curriculum in an engaging manner, applying various teaching methods such as lectures, discussions, demonstrations, and individual or collaborative projects and research. •Strong supervisory and leadership skills to manage and control the classroom. •Excellent verbal and written communication skills. •Excellent interpersonal skills with a proven ability to maintain professionalism and tact in high-stress situations. •Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. •Creative analytical and problem-solving skills. •Experience with Google Suite and Google Classroom or related software. Physical Requirements: •Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer or standing to teach. •Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times. •Must be able to traverse classroom and adjust one's tone and height, by bending or leaning, in order to teach each child.
