This is a year-round, full-time teaching position with flexibility to have summers off, that works 8:30a -2:30p, Monday - Friday. The pay is $18.75 -20 per hour with merit increases depending on experience and qualifications. This role is onsite at our center located: 2610 John Young Pkwy, Kissimmee, FL 34741

The Elementary Teacher for the Kindergarten classroom plans and implements curriculum, serves as a model and mentor, and coordinates engaging developmental activities for students. At our private preschool in Kissimmee, FL, you'll lead a class of up to 20 children using the Frog Street Kindergarten curriculum, designed to support both academic and social-emotional growth. You’ll follow the Osceola County school calendar, with built-in breaks throughout the year and the option to take summers off or continue working with preschool-aged children at a reduced pay rate. What You’ll Do:
• Supervise children and manage a well-ordered classroom environment that ensures safety, cleanliness, and overall wellbeing
• Provide an educational atmosphere that supports a positive learning experience, encourages active participation, and builds self-esteem and confidence
• Coordinate and implement the Frog Street Kindergarten curriculum by preparing weekly lesson plans aligned with Florida learning standards and academic goals
• Plan and lead individual and group age-appropriate activities that promote cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development
• Maintain student portfolios including evaluations, observation notes, and progress reports across academic and social areas
• Supervise and assist with meals, ensuring compliance with USDA guidelines and the specific needs of each child
• Update classroom bulletin boards with current lesson themes, weekly overviews, classroom news, and student highlights
• Label and organize children’s personal belongings to ensure cleanliness and easy identification
• Clean and sanitize the classroom, bathrooms, and learning equipment daily
• Lead by example and support team success through positive modeling, mentoring, and coaching
• Participate in staff meetings, parent conferences, professional development, and school events
• Adhere to all policies and regulations set by state and local licensing agencies
• Maintain an individual professional development plan to ensure continuous improvement and high-quality teaching practices
What We Need from You:
• Bachelor’s degree in early childhood education, Elementary Education, or a related field
• Minimum of 1 year of classroom experience teaching Kindergarten; Florida Educator Certification in PreK–3 or K–6 highly preferred
• Florida Teaching Certificate or qualifying education degree; official transcripts must be submitted to Dbrown@source2.com
• Must successfully pass a Level II background screening through the Florida Department of Children and Families (DCF)
• Strong understanding of children’s cognitive, social, emotional, and physical development to create a safe, supportive, and engaging classroom environment
• Ability to align instruction with the Florida Early Learning and Developmental Standards and provide developmentally appropriate learning experiences
• Excellent organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills, both oral and written
• Basic computer proficiency for lesson planning, communication, and student documentation
