Position: Kindergarten Teacher
Location: Philadelphia, PA 19141
Compensation: $45 per hour

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop engaging and thoughtfully sequenced lesson plans that align with PSSA Assessment Anchors and state standards, working closely with our curriculum team.
  • Deliver dynamic instruction across all subjects in a self-contained classroom setting.
  • Provide timely, constructive feedback to support student growth and learning.
  • Collaborate regularly with ESL and special education teachers to meet the diverse needs of your students.
  • Foster positive, supportive relationships with students, colleagues, and families.
  • Communicate effectively with families to keep them informed about their child’s progress.
  • Participate in school events and activities beyond regular hours to enrich the student experience.
  • Maintain a safe, welcoming, and nurturing classroom environment.

What We’re Looking For:
  • PA Certification in Elementary Education (required).
  • Bachelor’s degree in Education or a related field.
  • Experience managing a self-contained classroom, teaching all core subjects.
  • Strong commitment to student well-being and success.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
  • Ability to adapt lesson plans and instruction to meet diverse student needs.

Your Skills & Expertise:
  • Proficient with Google Suite for Education and Student Information Systems.
  • Familiarity with student intervention programs and classroom technology, including document cameras, projectors, and laptops.
  • Strong skills in classroom management, problem-solving, and decision-making.
  • Knowledge of child development, psychology, and educational best practices.

Physical Requirements:
  • Comfortable with the physical demands of teaching young children, including sitting, standing, walking, lifting (up to 25 lbs), and moving around the classroom.
  • Ability to safely supervise and support students as needed, including occasional restraining.
  • Mobility to navigate stairs and various school environments.
