Provides and is accountable for the planning, assessment, instruction, communication, human relations, safety, and management of a classroom or assigned instructional setting. Supports FCPS mission to "inspire, enable, and empower students to meet high academic standards, lead ethical lives, and demonstrate responsible citizenship."
(One Year Only)
1. Experience/expertise with Mariachi
2. FCPS seeks a dedicated music educator to expand Mariachi music and culture, traveling between school sites within Fairfax County.
3. Experience teaching traditional mariachi instruments (e.g. violin, trumpet, guitarrón, vihuela, guitar) and vocal styles
4. Experience creating socially and culturally responsive curricula that reflect mariachi traditions
5. Bilingual Spanish/English highly desired
