Bethany School seeks an Intermediate (3-6) Homeroom Teacher beginning August 2025 . Successful candidates are culturally competent, responsible, caring, and enthusiastic educators who possess content area and pedagogical knowledge in English Language Arts, Social Studies, Math and/or Science, as well as the ways these areas intersect with other content areas such as Art, Music, and World Language. Successful candidates will also demonstrate understanding of the developmental characteristics of children in the intermediate grade levels (3-6) and will have had positive experiences working with students in these grades. Compensation includes salary and benefits commensurate with education and experience.
Qualified Intermediate (3-6) Homeroom Teacher candidates will possess or demonstrate the following:
Bachelor's Degree in Education, the humanities, English, history, math, science or other related field required; Master's Degree preferred
A commitment to justice, equity, diversity, and inclusion
Initiative regarding job-related tasks, responsibilities, and projects
Collaborative skills and the ability to work well in team settings
Prioritization of student safety and security
Dependability and professionalism; be punctual, complete work in a timely manner, exhibit a consistent work ethic, maintain calm under pressure, and exercise sound judgment
Strong interpersonal and communication skills; communicate effectively and professionally in writing and verbally
Proficiency in the use of technology; experience with Surface Pro devices, BenQ, Viewsonic, or other interactive boards, Google Classroom, Google Workspaces, Rediker SIS preferred
Willingness to participate in ongoing professional development
