Work with a team of teachers to plan and carry out curriculum that focuses on childrens development and individual childs needs, challenges and strengths
Develop activities, schedules and routines for children as a group or one on one basis in order to develop skills and explore interests that ensure adequate activity and rest.
Teach an entire class or small groups of children the foundational knowledge in reading, writing and speaking, identifying colors, shapes, numbers, and letters and to learn and apply important concepts using a hands-on approach to help children understand basic concepts of learning
Maintain records of childrens progress, routines and interests to facilitate communication to parents of each childs progress, development and challenges
Educational and Experience Requirements:
Associate degree in education or child development
Previous 1 or 2 yrs work-related skill, knowledge, or experience is required
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Knowledge of principles and methods for curriculum and training design, teaching and instruction for one on one basis and in groups, and the measurement of teaching effects.
Communication and organizational skills to coordinate, supervise, manage, or train others to accomplish goals.
Basic knowledge of excel, MS Office progams and use of mobile applications
Work Conditions:
Able to stand at least 6 hrs in a day and able to lift minimum of 50 lbs
Availability: Monday-Friday 8:30am-5:30pm
