We are seeking a nurturing, patient, and experienced Infant Teacher to join our early childhood education team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the safety, development, and well-being of infants ages 6 weeks to 12 months. You will create a warm and stimulating environment where infants can explore and grow through age-appropriate activities.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide responsive and individualized care to infants, including feeding, diapering, and comforting.
  • Plan and implement developmentally appropriate activities that promote physical, emotional, cognitive, and social growth.
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment in accordance with Mississippi Department of Health licensing regulations.
  • Establish positive and ongoing communication with parents regarding their childs daily routines and milestones.
  • Monitor and document each infants progress and needs through daily reports and developmental assessments.
  • Follow all health and safety protocols, including proper sanitization and emergency procedures.
  • Work collaboratively with co-teachers and center staff to create a supportive team environment.
  • Attend required trainings and professional development sessions, including those mandated by Mississippi state licensing.

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or GED required; CDA (Child Development Associate) credential preferred or willingness to obtain within 12 months.
  • Previous experience working with infants in a licensed child care setting preferred.
  • Must meet all Mississippi state licensing requirements, including background checks and health screenings.
  • CPR and First Aid certification (or ability to obtain upon hire).
  • Strong communication, observation, and organizational skills.
  • Patience, empathy, and a genuine love for working with young children.

Working Conditions:

  • Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds and sit or stand for long periods.
  • Exposure to noise, diapering/cleaning, and typical childcare-related conditions.
  • Work hours may vary based on center needs (early morning, midday, or afternoon shifts).
