Lead Teacher (8:30 am - 5:30 pm or 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM, Monday - Friday)

Key Responsibilities:


  • Provide a safe, nurturing, and stimulating environment for children ages 6 weeks to 6 years.
  • Develop and implement age-appropriate lesson plans and activities based on the curriculum and individual developmental needs of children.
  • Foster childrens emotional, social, cognitive, and physical development through guided play, creative activities, and hands-on learning experiences.
  • Engage with children in group activities, one-on-one interactions, and outdoor play to encourage their curiosity, communication, and motor skills.
  • Support children's daily routines, including meals, naps, bathroom routines, and other needs as necessary.
  • Communicate regularly and effectively with parents, providing updates on children's progress, behavior, and daily experiences.
  • Maintain a clean, organized, and safe classroom environment, ensuring all materials and equipment are properly sanitized and in good condition.
  • Observe and document childrens development and behavior, keeping accurate records to inform parent-teacher conferences and developmental assessments.
  • Collaborate with fellow teachers and staff to maintain a positive, cooperative, and team-oriented atmosphere.
  • Adhere to all company policies, safety guidelines, and state regulations for childcare facilities.
Qualifications:


  • High school diploma or equivalent (Associates or Bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field preferred).
  • Meets DCFS Lead Teacher Guidelines of a minimum of 30 hours of college with 6 being related to Early Childhood Education or related coursework
  • Previous experience working with young children in an educational or childcare setting is highly desirable.
  • Strong knowledge of child development and early childhood education principles.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
  • Ability to engage and build positive relationships with children and their families.
  • Passion for early childhood education and a commitment to providing high-quality care and learning experiences.
  • Reliable, punctual, and responsible with the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Must pass a background check and meet all required state and company licensing standards.
Work Hours:


  • Monday to Friday: 8:30 AM - 5:30 PM or 9:30 AM - 6:30 PM
