The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of excellence in an infant classroom, be able to follow and implement schedules, and create engaging lesson plans without additional training.
Duties
- Provide attentive, nurturing care for infants in a safe, developmentally appropriate environment
- Implement daily schedules, routines, and lesson plans
- Maintain compliance with Quality Rated and Bright from the Start standards
- Communicate effectively with parents and staff through Brightwheel
- Ensure cleanliness, safety, and organization of the classroom
- Support infants’ developmental milestones through planned activities
Requirements
- Minimum 5 years of experience working in a licensed childcare center infant classroom
- Knowledge of Quality Rated and Bright from the Start guidelines
- Current CPR/First Aid certification
- Completion of at least 18 hours of annual training as required
- Ability to create and follow lesson plans independently
- Strong communication and organization al skills
- Professional, reliable, and passionate about early childhood education
Nice To Haves
- CDA (Child Development Associate) credential or higher in Early Childhood Education
- Additional infant/toddler care training beyond the 18 required hours
- Experience with Brightwheel for daily communication and record-keeping
- Familiarity with Georgia Quality Rated assessment process
- Bilingual in English/Spanish (or other languages)
- Ability to implement creative, sensory, and music activities for infants
