Job Summary
The Infant Teacher Assistant supports the Lead Infant Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and developmentally appropriate environment for children ages 6 weeks to 18 months. This role assists in providing high-quality care, fostering early learning, and supporting the social, emotional, and physical development of each child.

Classroom Support & Care
Assist the Lead Teacher in implementing daily routines and activities that promote sensory, language, motor, and social development.
Help ensure that diapering, feeding, and napping schedules are followed consistently and hygienically.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom environment, following health and safety guidelines.
Child Engagement & Development
Interact with infants using developmentally appropriate practices that encourage exploration, curiosity, and early communication skills.
Comfort and soothe children when needed, ensuring emotional security.
Observe and record developmental milestones, sharing relevant information with the Lead Teacher.
Collaboration & Communication
Work as part of a team to plan and carry out classroom activities.
Maintain open, respectful communication with parents, staff, and administrators.
Attend staff meetings, trainings, and professional development sessions as required.
Health & Safety
Follow all licensing, health, and safety regulations, including sanitation procedures for toys, furniture, and materials.
Monitor children for signs of illness, injury, or developmental concerns, reporting promptly to the Lead Teacher.

Qualifications:
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Ability to pass a state and federal background check
  • A year of previous teaching assistant experience preferred
  • High-energy with a love of working with children
  • Organized and detail-oriented
