Position: Part-Time Youth I/DD Individual Support Specialist / Worker
Location: North Brunswick, NJ
Pay: $20$28 per hour

Your Day as an Individual Support Worker

As a Support Worker, you will:

  • Provide personalized teaching sessions to children with developmental and intellectual disabilities
  • Use Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) techniques
  • Work closely with behavioral therapists to:
    • Create therapy programs
    • Implement behavioral interventions
  • Support children in both home and community settings
  • Receive supervision and training from experienced coordinators
  • Develop individualized service plans
  • Manage behavioral challenges constructively
  • Ensure a safe and positive environment
  • Facilitate recreational and social activities
  • Make a lasting impact on children and adolescents


Does This Sound Like You?

Requirements:

  • Option 1: Bachelors Degree + minimum 1 year of supervised experience
  • Option 2: High School Diploma or GED + minimum 3 years of supervised experience
  • Experience in:
    • Implementing positive behavior support plans
    • Teaching ADLs/instrumental skills to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to:
    • Work independently
    • Follow established protocols and guidelines
  • Must demonstrate:
    • Empathy, patience, and a passion for working with children
    • Prior experience in behavioral interventions
    • A commitment to ongoing professional development
