History/Social Science Teacher

•Collaborate with all team members, including but not limited to, building principal, department leader, special educators, instructional coaches, paraprofessionals, and other support personnel. •Assess students regularly and refine and differentiate classroom instruction based on assessment data and student needs. •Deliver instruction to a variety of students enrolled in History and/or Social Science courses, grades 6-8. •Develop and implement differentiated lesson plans, classroom activities and assessments aligned with Massachusetts State Standards and current history classroom pedagogy. •Application of historical reasoning skills in the classroom. •Ability to employ effective 1:1 classroom technology strategies. •Communicate regularly with students and involve families as partners in learning. •Demonstrates strong classroom management skills while implementing a proactive approach to supporting all learners. •Strong knowledge of, and ability to integrate, the Massachusetts History and Social Science Curriculum Framework, including the recent proposed revisions. •Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, alongside the ability to establish and maintain effective and collaborative working relationships with a diverse staff and student body. •A strong work ethic, enthusiasm, positive attitude, and sincere interest in supporting the achievement of all students required.
