What You'll Do: As a SPED Teacher, you'll be a key player in helping students reach their full potential. Your responsibilities will include: IEP Champion: Designing, supervising, and implementing individualized education plans (IEPs) to meet each student's unique needs. Schedule Superstar: Creating and coordinating student schedules, making sure they connect with related services and general education opportunities. Data Detective: Collecting and analyzing student data to monitor progress and make informed instructional decisions. Team Collaborator: Working effectively with a large team of professionals (therapists, counselors, etc.) to coordinate comprehensive services. Lifelong Learner: Participating in staff development training focused on best practices for working with students with special needs. Innovation Implementer: Bringing state-of-the-art strategies to life in the classroom, creating engaging and effective learning experiences. What You'll Need: We're looking for someone who has: A Bachelor's degree in Special Education, or a Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 18 credits in special education and 6 credits in education theory. A Pennsylvania Special Education certificate, or a Pennsylvania Private Academic certification with the ability to attain public certification within one year of hire. 1-3 years of experience working with students with autism or emotional support (student teaching counts!). A demonstrated ability to create a classroom where every student feels supported and challenged. The ability to obtain and maintain agency physical management certification credentials (we'll help with that!). Salary: Up to $62,000 DOE (Depending on Experience) Why Teach With Us?
