We are seeking a full-time High School Language Arts to join our teaching team. The ideal candidate will be a committed Christian educator with a passion for engaging students in both the power of language and the importance of understanding the past. This teacher will be responsible for delivering dynamic instruction in reading, writing, grammar, and historical content, while cultivating a Christ-honoring classroom community.
*Key Responsibilities:*
* Teach Language Arts, including literature, composition, grammar, and vocabulary. * Create and implement lesson plans that align with school standards and Christian worldview. * Foster critical thinking, creativity, and spiritual growth through engaging classroom instruction. * Integrate biblical truth and Christian values throughout all subject areas. * Provide clear and timely assessment of student progress and academic performance. * Communicate regularly with parents and collaborate with staff and administration. * Participate in school events, faculty meetings, and ongoing professional development. * Support the mission and values of the school in both conduct and curriculum.
*Qualifications:*
* Bachelor’s degree in Education (preferred). * Teaching experience at the middle school level (preferred). * A personal, growing relationship with Jesus Christ. * Commitment to a biblical worldview and alignment with the school’s statement of faith. * Strong classroom management and relational skills. * Ability to teach with clarity, creativity, and care. * Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
*Classroom Management:*
o Establish and maintain a classroom environment conducive to learning, following school policies and procedures.
o Implement effective classroom management strategies to address student behavior issues.
o Ensure a safe and orderly learning environment.
· *Professional Development:*
o Stay current with best practices in education through professional development opportunities.
o Participate in school-wide initiatives and committees.
o Contribute to the overall success of the school community.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Pay: $23.00 - $26.00 per hour
