Date Available: 08/11/2025 QUALIFICATIONS: Must be a licensed nurse with a minimum of two years of nursing experience; at least one year must be in the provision of long-term care facility services or caring for the elderly or the chronically ill of any age. Must be a reasonable candidate for approval by UNAR. UNAR approval requires: • Completion of UNAR Instructor approval packet. • Licensed nurse in good standing with the Utah Department of Professional Licensure. • A resume showing 2 years of nursing experience; explicitly detailing at least 1-year experience in the provision of long term care facility services or caring for the elderly or chronically ill of any age. • Must have completed a UNAR-approved "Train the Trainer" program or demonstrated competence to teach adult learners. • Fingerprinting and background check.

This position reports to and is responsible to the Jordan School District administration and UNAR.

REQUIRED: Must be able to obtain a Utah Teaching License with CTE Endorsements.

Licensure Requirements

All applicants must have a Professional Educator License awarded by the Utah State Board of Education (USBE) or apply for an Associate Educator License (AEL) to be eligible to apply to Jordan School District and participate in our Alternate Pathway to Professional Educator Licensing (APPEL) Program when hired.

Proof of an AEL is required before you will be added to the candidate pool. Follow this link for information on how to apply for an AEL.

Proof of enrollment in a teacher certification program at a local university will also be accepted in lieu of an AEL.
