Croton-Harmon High School has an anticipated opening for a leave replacement science teacher from 8/27/25-6/26/26. Certification in Earth Science preferred or another science area with background in Earth Science.

The candidate will be teaching 2 sections of Earth Science, 2 sections of Forensic Science/Psychology, and 1 section of Animal Physiology.

The successful candidate will be able to: Plan and implement curriculum in conjunction with the Science department designed to be personalized, engaging, and focused on developing skills and real-world applications. Commit to ongoing professional learning and develop and adjust curriculum on an ongoing basis to meet students' needs and interests. Stay current on best and burgeoning pedagogical and curricular practices. Become familiar with our District's Vision Map. Plan collaboratively with colleagues and co-teachers and be open to sharing and learning with and from others. Create a personalized learning environment for students that meets individual needs and challenges students to reach their full potential. Have the ability to self-evaluate, be reflective and problem solve. Perform all other duties as assigned.

Qualifications:

Education:

Degree in Science/Science Education or similar.

Certificates & Licenses:

Must be certified in Science, Earth Science preferred.
