Job description

Kennedy Catholic Preparatory School is looking for a math teacher to start in September 2025. The ideal candidate should possess strong organizational skills, communicate effectively and be able to

• Teach all disciplines of high school mathematics
• Integrate classroom technology into instructional methodology.

Master's degree preferred. Bachelor's degree with enrollment in Master's program in math education or closely related field considered. NYS teaching certification a plus. Prior teaching experience necessary.

Candidate must be able to reliably commute to Somers, NY or plan to relocate prior to commencing work.

Responsibilities

• Develop and implement engaging lesson plans that align with curriculum standards in mathematics.
• Manage classroom dynamics to create a positive learning environment.
• Assess student progress provide individualized support as needed.
• Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to foster a collaborative educational experience.
• Participate in ongoing professional development.
• Mentor students and provide extra help when needed to enhance their understanding of mathematical concepts.
