SALARY RANGE: CERTIFIED $60,000-$87,000 / UNCERTIFIED $54,560-$69,410

Ad Valorem - 2.40 parish property (ad valorem) tax mills are dedicated to employee salaries. The annual receipts from this tax are distributed to employees twice a year, one-half in January and one-half in June. The amount of each employee's supplement is the employee's salary multiplied by the annual percentage (computed each year based on actual tax revenues). PHOENIX HIGH SCHOOL IS LOOKING FOR HIGH SCHOOL MATH TEACHER.

1) Minimum of Bachelor's degree in education from an accredited college or university

2) Valid LA teaching certificate or teh ability to obtain one with appropriate endorsements

3) A demonstrated philosophy that all students can and will learn

4) Excellent attendance record

5) Excellent oral and written communication skills

6) Demonstrates knowledge and understanding of Best Instructional Practices

7) Positive interpersonal skills

8) Professional verification of successful classroom teacher performances
