At our Belmont campus, we serve students in grades 7-12. At our downtown campus, we currently serve students in grades 9-12. About the opportunity

We are seeking a qualified and experienced ESL teacher at our Belmont campus. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality English language instruction to non-native speakers, fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment, and ensuring that the educational objectives are met during the temporary absence of the regular ESL teacher.

Job Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate 100% commitment to preparing every student for post-secondary success
  • Uphold Intrinsic student culture
  • Collaborate to design and deliver on and offline instruction
  • Lead an advisory that meets daily
  • Review student level data to inform instruction and student groupings
  • Seek to improve practice through data analysis, observation, feedback and video
  • Support student learning outside the classroom (facilitate clubs, after-school tutoring, office hours, etc)
  • Contribute to the overall Intrinsic Team by supporting colleagues, participating in school-wide events and seeking ways to improve the school

ESL Teacher Required Skills/Abilities/Education
  • Bachelor's degree in Education, English or a related field.
  • MUST HAVE- PEL License with an ESL Endorsement is required
  • MUST BE Fluent in English and Spanish
  • Proven experience in teaching ESL to diverse groups of students.
  • Familiarity with ESL curriculum development and assessment strategies.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Ability to adapt to different learning styles and create an inclusive learning environment.
ESL Teacher Physical Requirements

Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, talk, hear, operate a computer, hand-held learning devices and other office equipment, reach with hands and arms, and must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds.
