Teach 5-6 46-minute periods of English and electives (Creative Writing, Public Speaking, Film & Literature, Plays in Performance, etc.) to classes of no more than 20 9-12 grade students. Design and implement engaging, differentiated, interactive instruction that supports all students in developing their reading, writing, language, speaking and listening, and critical thinking skills and prepares them not only for college and careers but also for becoming active, informed members of their community. Create positive, student-centered learning environment that facilitates the completion of goals and objectives of the New Jersey Student Learning Standards.
REQUIRED: NJ Teacher of English CE or Standard certification. PREFERRED: Additional Teacher of Drama certification. Please submit resume, cover letter, and copy of all relevant NJ certifications. Position begins September 2025 for 25-26 SY.
Candidates with OUT-OF-STATE licenses: You MUST have ALREADY applied to the NJDOE for reciprocity and be able to submit a screenshot of your application status to be considered for this position. Candidates must live in New Jersey or be planning to relocate to NJ.
Job Types: Full-time, Contract
Salary: $52,000.00 - $87,000.00 per year based on collective bargaining agreement
