POSITION OVERVIEW:

Portland High School is seeking a highly qualified, dynamic individual to fill a part-time English teaching position at one of the most diverse schools in Maine. Applicants should hold valid state certification (100S) and: be open to working with a wide range of learners be comfortable integrating technology into the classroom have experience with curriculum review and design demonstrate ethusiasm for engaging students in authentic learning experiences show a willingness to collaborate with others Familiarity with a mix of both classical and contemporary literature is a plus.

EMPLOYMENT DETAILS: School-year position Permanent Part Time, 0.5 FTE Salaried position, not eligible for overtime Covered under the PEA contract (see 2022-2025 CBA here; new contract forthcoming) Salary based on education and experience, as outlined in CBA Eligible for benefits as outlined here
