A public charter school in Dearborn is seeking a dedicated and knowledgeable High School Computer Science Teacher to join its team. The ideal candidate will be passionate about technology and education, with a strong ability to engage students in meaningful, hands-on learning.
Responsibilities Include:

Teaching computer science courses such as introductory programming, web development, and AP Computer Science Principles
Developing and delivering engaging, standards-aligned lesson plans
Incorporating project-based learning and real-world applications of technology
Monitoring student progress and maintaining accurate records
Creating a classroom environment that promotes critical thinking, problem-solving, and collaboration
Collaborating with fellow teachers on cross-curricular STEM initiatives
Supporting student involvement in technology clubs, competitions, or extracurricular activities

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Education, or a related field
Valid Michigan teaching certification (or eligibility to obtain) with a Computer Science endorsement
Experience teaching or working with high school students in a classroom setting
Familiarity with programming languages (Python, Java, JavaScript, etc.) - a programming background is preferred
Strong communication and organizational skills
