Position Summary:
We are seeking a dedicated educator qualified to teach general Business classes and Computer Science to High School level students; an educator who can foster interest and enthusiasm in the students and works collaboratively with other staff and the administration to provide an excellent educational experience to the students of Okemos High School.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Secondary Michigan Teaching Certification with Business Endorsement (GX) or (GQ)
- Strong Computer Science knowledge and experience
- Demonstrated skill in oral and written communication
- Passion for working with high school students required
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior teaching experience, preferably at the high school level
- Previous experience teaching AP Computer Science courses
- Ability to collaborate with colleagues
- Connects well with students/guardians
- Growth and asset-minded... each day is a "get-to" day.
- Demonstrated knowledge and experience in differentiated instruction and utilized multiple teaching methods.
- Strong communication skills.
- Highly organized.
