High School Biology Teacher

- Implement curricula and activities to meet academic standards;
- Design and implement assessments that measure progress towards academic standards;
- Use assessment data to refine curriculum and inform instructional practices;
- Participate in collaborative curriculum development, grade-level activities, and school-wide functions;
- Ability to teach high school biology through interactive lessons, labs and hands-on projects
- Use creative teaching strategies, technology, and real world applications to make science meaningful
- Be accountable for student's mastery of academic standards; and
- Communicate effectively with students, families, and colleagues
QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor's degree in Biology, Education, or related field
- Possession of MA teaching license in high school science, including SEI endorsement
- Knowledge of current teaching methods & educational pedagogy, as well as differentiated instruction based upon student learning styles
- Unwavering belief that all students can achieve at high levels and strong commitment to do whatever it takes for all our students to be college-ready
- Passionate about working with high school students
- Willingness to contribute to extracurricular activities or science clubs (optional but encouraged)
- Belief in a structured school environment that promotes a positive culture of achievement
