The successful candidate will be responsible for providing comprehensive instruction in all facets of health assistant CIP Code 51.0899 and theCertified Nurse Aide Program to students in grades 10-12, preparing them for successful careers health care.QUALIFICATIONS: Career and Technical Instructional Certificate (2600) for Health Assistant (2202):You must possess or be eligible to obtain a valid/active Pennsylvania Career and Technical Instructional Certificate specifically for Health Assistant. Wage-Earning Experience: You need four years of wage-earning experience in the occupation to be taught. Occupational Competency Evaluation Credential Review: You must pass the Occupational Competency Evaluation Credential Review. Registered Nurse (RN): Be a graduate of an approved school of professional nursing AND currently licensed as an RN in Pennsylvania (preferred): or Other Licensed/Certified Healthcare Professional: Be a licensed/certified healthcare professional with a minimum of a bachelors degree and currently licensed/certified in your field of practice. Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN): Be a Licensed Practical Nurse AND havepassed the Health Assisting Occupational Competency Assessment (2202).OTHER CONSIDERATIONS: Teaching Experience: Prior teaching and/or supervisory experience is preferred. Technology Proficiency: Experience with using technology for instruction, communication, and workflow is preferred. Long-Term Care Experience: A minimum of one year of clinical experience in long-term care/geriatric, and/or home health nursing is required for Nurse Aide Instructors. Teach the Educator (TTE) Workshop: Evidence of completing Pennsylvanias Teach the Educator (TTE) Workshop is required for Nurse Aide Instructors. CPR Certification: Maintain current CPR certification.
