POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead GSRP Teacher is responsible for planning, teaching, and assessing a high-quality preschool program for four-year-olds, following Michigan’s GSRP grant requirements. This role ensures the program meets instructional standards, licensing rules, and state guidelines, including tools like CLASS.
REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Michigan Teaching Certificate with Early Childhood endorsement (ZA or ZS) or Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or Child Development with preschool specialization
• Certification in CPR and First Aid
• Knowledge of GSRP grant requirements, licensing (DHS), and state quality standards (CLASS)
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
• Experience teaching preschool aged children
• Familiarity with research based curricula
• Skilled in planning age appropriate, engaging learning experiences that support academic growth
• Ability to lead and mentor classroom assistants effectively
• Strong communication skills and a commitment to building respectful, supportive relationships with families
• Dedicated to ongoing professional development and reflective teaching practices
