Position Summary
Al-Ikhlas Training Academy is seeking a dedicated and data-driven Intervention Teacher to support middle school students (grades 6-12) in math. This full-time position focuses on delivering targeted, evidence-based instruction to students in need of academic intervention and social-emotional support.
Education Requirements
Required: Bachelor's degree Preferred: Bachelor's in education (B.S. or B.A.) Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with applicable endorsement(s) Meets "Highly Qualified Teacher" criteria under MDE guidelines Experience Requirements
Required: At least 5 years of successful K-5 classroom teaching experience, with a focus on intervention and small-group instruction Skilled in data-informed instruction and early literacy strategies Preferred: At least 2 years of experience in coaching, mentoring, or supervisory roles Experience designing adult professional learning Leadership experience managing instructional programs or teams Core Responsibilities (Summary) Deliver academic and social-emotional interventions in 1:1 and small-group settings Monitor student progress using assessments and screening tools; adjust plans based on data Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to align interventions and share updates Maintain detailed documentation and comply with district/state guidelines Engage families through conferences, regular communication, and school events Participate in planning and facilitating community engagement activities Uphold confidentiality, ethical standards, and all required school/district policies Submit documentation to support payroll and compliance in a timely manner
