Date Available: 2025-2026 A vacancy exists for a Special Education Floater Teacher (Wilson Certified) position to work within the Office of Student Services at the Montgomery County Intermediate Unit . This position will float across specialized porgrams throughout Montgomery County, including Transition, Emotional Support, Autistic Support, Multiple Disabilities, and Detention Center/Correctional Facilities. This position will also provide Wilson Certiffied Reading support to schools throughout Montgomery County as needed.

Qualifications: Valid PA Certification in Special Education PK-12 required Valid PA Certification as a Reading Specialist PK-12 required Wilson Reading System Certification required Experience teaching students with special needs Experience with Assistive Technology Valid PA driver's license; this position will require travel to classrooms and programs throughout Montgomery County Must be courteous and able to deal effectively with people. Must be cooperative, congenial, and self-motivated. Ability to complete task and run a classroom/deliver instruction with minimal supervision. Original certificates of clearance from the State Police, Child Abuse Registry, and PDE FBI.

Duties and Responsibilities: Instruction and IEP case management for students in need of special education programming. Provide Wilson Reading System instruction to identified students, delivering targeted, evidence-based literacy interventions. Assume additional duties as assigned by the Director/Assistant Director of Student Services and/or Program Administrator

Location: The Montgomery County Intermediate Unit is located in Norristown, PA and provide services to students in School Age K-12 and Non-Pub classrooms located throughout Montgomery County, PA. Position will require travel to homes and classrooms located throughout Montgomery County, PA.

Work Schedule: Monday-Friday, 7.5 hours/day, 10 months (194 days/year)

2025-2026 Salary: Bachelor's, Step 1: $53,997/year Master's, Step 1: $65,007/year *Placement on salary schedule based on experience and/or education beyond the Master's Degree.
