Are you passionate about early childhood education? If you love working with young children, join our team at Lawrence Day School as a Floater Teacher! You will play a key role in fostering a warm, safe and developmentally appropriate environment where children can explore and develop essential skills.

Work Hours: M,T,W 12:00pm - 6pm Th, Fri 8:30am - 6:00pm
(Additional hours may be available but are dependent on the center's needs)

Break Down of Day:

• Cover lunch breaks for Lead Teachers between 12-3pm on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays some Thursdays
• 3-6pm cover Toddler Classroom on Mondays, Tuesdays, Wednesdays some Thursdays
• 8:30 - 600pm full day in the Toddler Classroom while Lead Teacher is off

Duties

• Supervise and engage with children in a caring and positive manner.
• Assist with daily routines, including meals, diapering, and rest time.
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized classroom.
• Communicate effectively with parents and staff.
• Follow school policies and state licensing requirements to ensure the well-being of all children.
• Implement age-appropriate activities that promote social, emotional, cognitive, and physical development.

Requirements

• Warm, welcoming personality.
• Previous experience working with toddlers in a child care or preschool setting.
• Must be patient, nurturing, and enthusiastic about working with young children.
• Ability to pass background checks and meet state licensing requirements.
• CPR/First Aid certification
