The Support Teacher assists the Lead Teacher in creating a safe, nurturing, and stimulating learning environment for children. They provide support in daily classroom activities, supervision, and curriculum implementation to ensure the overall development of each child.
*Key Responsibilities*
* Assist in implementing age-appropriate lesson plans and activities. * Support the Lead Teacher in managing the classroom and maintaining a positive learning environment. * Supervise children to ensure their safety and well-being at all times. * Foster a nurturing and respectful relationship with children, parents, and staff. * Help with classroom organization, preparation of materials, and cleaning tasks. * Provide individualized attention to children as needed. * Encourage positive social interactions and assist with conflict resolution. * Follow all school policies, procedures, and licensing regulations. * Communicate effectively with the Lead Teacher and staff about student progress and needs. * Attend staff meetings, training sessions, and professional development opportunities.
*Qualifications & Skills*
* High school diploma or equivalent. * Prior experience working with young children in a childcare or educational setting is a plus. * Strong communication and teamwork skills. * Patience, creativity, and a passion for working with children. * Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and engage in physical activities with children. * CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
*Work Schedule*
* Full-time or part-time schedule depending on the school’s needs. * May require flexibility with shifts and occasional evening events.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $15.00 - $16.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
