The successful candidate must be able to work 2nd and/or 3rd shift hours (4:00 PM - midnight, midnight - 8:00 AM) and must be available to work any day of the week including Saturday and Sunday. Must be able to work at least Saturday or Sunday each weekend.

Position Overview: We are looking for compassionate, dedicated individuals to join our team as Direct Care staff for youth in foster care. This is more than just a job - it's a calling. As Direct Care staff, you'll play a central role in a young person's life during one of their most critical and vulnerable moments. The care you provide can shape their outlook, support their growth, and reveal their true potential for future success. Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide consistent, trauma-informed care and supervision in a residential setting
  • Create a safe, nurturing, and structured environment where youth can heal and grow
  • Support daily routines including meals, school, appointments, and recreational activities
  • Foster trust and connection through empathy, patience, and positive communication
  • Model healthy relationships and life skills, from conflict resolution to self-care
  • Work collaboratively with case workers, families, and other team members
  • Maintain accurate documentation and uphold SC Department of Social Services licensing and safety standards

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience with youth or individuals impacted by trauma is highly valued
  • Must be at least 21 years old
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
  • Ability to pass background checks, drug screen, fingerprinting, and required clearances
  • Compassion, reliability, and a deep commitment to helping others are essential
