Job Description

General Functions

Assists in the implementation of treatment and educational programs for abused, neglected, and emotionally and socially handicapped children placed in residential care. Works closely with counselors and other staff to develop and implement programs to improve functioning of each child. An employee assigned to this position is responsible for the conduct and welfare of children placed in residential care.

Work is performed under the general supervision of a Residential Services Supervisor and is reviewed through meetings, observations and achievement of desired results.

Representative Duties/Assignments Associate's Degree (or 60 college credit) from an accredited institution and two years experience in direct child care. A Bachelor's degree may substitute for the two years of experience.

Must possess and maintain a valid State of Florida Driver's License and may be required to provide own vehicle for job related duties.

Preferences

Experience in a residential setting.
