Family and Consumer Science High School Teacher

The Chichester School District is currently seeking a qualified and passionate Family and Consumer Science High School Teacher to join our team for the 2025-2026 school year. We are looking for an individual who can create an engaging and supportive learning environment, with a strong focus on helping students develop real-world skills.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Develop and issue educational content, including notes, tests, and assignments
- Present clear, high quality, flexible and appropriate content knowledge to students through planning and preparation, in a safe and supportive classroom environment by providing ongoing communications and engaging instructional delivery.
- To follow the standard of member conduct as stated in the PA Code of Professional Practice and Conduct for Educators
- Grade assignments, assess and track students' progress, and plan educational activities tailored to varying learning levels
- Collaborate with colleagues and administrators to support student success and implement district initiatives
- Maintain accurate records and communicate regularly with parents/guardians regarding student performance
- Uphold school policies, procedures, and professional ethics
- Participate in staff meetings, professional development, and school events

Qualifications:
- Candidate must be a graduate of an accredited college or university and hold a proper Pennsylvania certification for the position
- Bachelor's degree
- Valid PA certification specific to content area: Family and Consumer Science PK-12
- Ability to create a positive and inclusive learning environment
- Proficiency in using educational technology tools and software for instruction.
