2025 -2026 School Year
POSITION:
Secondary English Teacher
- Middle School
And any positions that result from the filling of this posting.
QUALIFICATIONS:
- Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with proper endorsements (BA/BX) and evidence of MTTC scores
- ESL Endorsement (NS) preferred or willing to obtain
- Must meet MCL 380.1531 & Administrative Rules Governing the Certification of MI Teachers
Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education and/or Superintendent may find appropriate and acceptable
DUTIES:
- Differentiate lessons for specific reading abilities
- Implement literature circles
- Use research based instructional techniques
- Oversee small group and whole group instruction
- Provide a learning environment that is trauma informed
- Provide instruction to address the State Benchmarks
- Use appropriate technology tools
- Complete records in a timely manner
- Communicate to all members of the school & community
- Meet the physical and mental demands of the teaching profession and the position
- Work cooperatively with staff
- Follow requirements of supervisors
- Provide classroom instruction and keep accurate student records
- Maintain a philosophy in accord with Lincoln Park Public Schools
Other duties as assigned
