Duties (include but are not limited to): •Demonstrate knowledge of World, American, British, contemporary literature through instructional practices •Conversant in Common Core State Standards (CCSS) •Familiarity with standards based or proficiency based grading •Develop and deliver cohesive lessons that guide the learning process toward student achievement of CCSS •Maintain productive lines of communication with students, parents, and colleagues concerning progress of students •Use corrective, informative, summative assessment information to provide students with feedback •Create and maintain a positive, interactive classroom learning environment •Collaborate with colleagues in designing proficiency based assessments •Use data to direct instruction and remediation description •Direct and supervise paraprofessionals, volunteers, and student teachers in the classroom •Implement administrative directives in a professional manner regarding programs and policies •Adhere to all school and district policies and regulations
