Description: The ML/EL Teacher will, in accordance with District curriculum guides, directions and plans, implement and evaluate the content, scope and sequence of the District ML/EL program and related activities necessary to effectively guide students who have limited proficiency in the English language. The ML/EL Teacher will create and implement curriculum, providing appropriate materials and monitoring student progress for the Newcomer Program at the High school level. The ML/EL Teacher consults and cooperatively plans with the families and classroom teacher of ML/EL students and other District staff to provide educational opportunities for students.

Qualifications: The minimum qualifications for an ESL Teacher include experience and/or practicum teaching ML/EL, knowledge of and/or experience with foreign cultures. Preferred qualifications include fluency in a foreign language, specifically Spanish. Montana Teaching Certificate with ESL Endorsement or be able to be certified by the start of the 2025-2026 school year.
